Ahunan Power was incorporated on September 17, 2020, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc. Ahunan Power is a Renewable Energy (RE) developer engaged in hydroelectric power plants and related facilities. It is currently developing the Pakil Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Project, which will have a generating output capacity of 1,400 megawatts.
Expected to be among the largest pumped storage hydroelectric power plants in Asia, the project, located in Pakil, Laguna, is critical to the Philippines’ transition towards a clean energy future. The project integrates variable renewable energy to provide mid-merit energy during peak periods and address ancillary services requirements of the national system grid.
The total annual generation capacity from the Pakil Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Project is estimated to supply over 2.3 million households and displace approximately 3.1 million tons of coal per year.
October 07, 2022: More than 500 Pakil residents, mostly children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities, were able to avail of free medical assistance and other health services during a medical mission led by Ahunan Power.
August 10, 2022: As part of its development agenda for Pakil in Laguna, Ahunan Power launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program dubbed “Tayo Na Pakil,” a celebration of what the future holds for the municipality.
January 18, 2022: Ahunan Power’s Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Project is a 1400 Megawatt (MW) Pumped Storage Hydro Electric Power Plant (PS-HEPP) that’s being developed for both ancillary service and the energy supply markets.
