Prime Waste Solutions (PWS) Pampanga and Prime Infra Foundation conducted a relief operation in Porac, Pampanga to support communities affected by the recent heavy rains.

Relief packs were distributed to around 1,200 beneficiaries in Barangays Planas, Pio, Calantas, and Camias. Each relief pack includes 2 kilograms of rice, canned goods, instant noodles, and coffee.

The relief operation started on Wednesday, July 23, with 40 volunteers quickly mobilized to repack goods for distribution the next day. Aside from PWS Pampanga and the Foundation, the volunteers also included WASH Group members from the Katutubo Village, an Aeta community, and youth leaders from Barangay Planas.

“This initiative forms part of our commitment to help strengthen the resilience of our host communities. It is important to show our support during these challenging times, said Prime Infra Foundation Programs and Operations Head Bernadette Tan.

Tan said PWS Pampanga and Prime Infra Foundation are set to roll out additional support for the communities, with livelihood and sustainability initiatives already in the pipeline, alongside other outreach programs.

Barangay Planas leaders also welcomed the effort as a timely and heartfelt gesture of solidarity.

Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairwoman Joyce Cunanan of Barangay Planas also expressed gratitude for the relief efforts.

This initiative is part of PWS and Prime Infra Foundation’s broader community development and resilience-building programs across host communities—efforts that reflect their long-term commitment to social responsibility and partnership-driven progress.

PWS Pampanga is part of Prime Infra’s waste management unit. It operates the only large-scale materials recovery facility (MRF) in Luzon.
