Prime Infra holds the controlling interest in Olympia Violago Water and Power Inc. (OVWPI), a renewable energy developer primarily focused on harnessing hydro resources.
OVWPI is currently developing the Wawa Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Project located in Rizal, which will generate an output capacity of 600MW. With its capacity, the project stands as a significant player in the energy landscape, supplying a substantial portion of the country’s electricity needs reliably and sustainably.
OVWPI is investing USD 2.57 billion for the Wawa Pumped Storage Power Project, which is expected to commence operations by the year 2030, and thereafter provide critical infrastructure for the Philippines for 35 years or until 2064.
OVWPI’s project was certified as an Energy Project of National Significance by the Department of Energy and received Green Lane endorsement from the Department of Trade and Industry and Board of Investments.
