Prime Infra Foundation, the corporate social arm of Prime Infra, culminated its holiday outreach activities by granting over a hundred wishes of young beneficiaries of Pangarap Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers shelter to male street children and out-of-school youths. The turnover was held January 10 in Pasay City.
Prime Infra’s “Grant a Wish” program builds on its previous collaboration with the Pangarap Foundation, which focused on providing educational sponsorships.
“Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo, umulit uli kayo. Ibig sabihin na naniniwala kayo sa ginagawa namin. Kayo ay nagiging modelo para sa mga bata kasi eventually [when] they are already blessed, sa mga darating na panahon, we want them to be a blessing to others,” said Pangarap Foundation Executive Director Leah Lanzuela.
The Grant a Wish activity underscores Prime Infra’s dedication to social responsibility, encouraging volunteerism among employees while making a meaningful difference in the lives of beneficiaries.
A total of 34 boys, aged 11 to 20 years old, each listed three gifts they wished to receive, including clothing, shoes, and musical instruments, among others.
Prime Infra Foundation also carried out its annual gift-giving for host communities in Laguna, Rizal, Pampanga, and Cebu last month. The activities were conducted in collaboration with Prime Infra’s subsidiaries, Ahunan Power Inc., Olympia Violago Water and Power Inc., Prime Integrated Waste Solutions, Prime Solar and WawaJVCo, benefiting a total of 7,600 households.
The activities included the distribution of grocery items, sacks of rice, food packs, and hygiene kits; hosting of Christmas parties for children; and events which promoted wellness among participating families and barangays.
Prime Infra Foundation also organized donation drives across Prime Infra’s subsidiaries, encouraging contributions of or brand new or pre-loved toys for children, as well as clothes which will be sent to a partner women’s organization in Tanauan, Batangas for the production of quilted blankets and reusable tote bags.
Steadfast in Prime Infra’s purpose of building better lives and resilient economies, Prime Infra Foundation continues to implement community partnerships through programs focused on livelihood and enterprise development, capacity-building, providing educational support, and medical missions.
Among its 2024 program milestones include the completion of a new deep well facility that improves access to clean water of an Aeta community in Porac, Pampanga; the launch of Kilos Calawis, a five-year social development program designed to boost economic growth for host communities in Calawis, Antipolo; and the signing of a memorandum of agreement for the Alternative Livelihood Development Program with major people’s organizations in Rizal aimed at helping host communities obtain more sustainable livelihoods.
